		<description>Ignoring the impact that Microsoft (or any other big company) can have on open source and software development in general is a big mistake. There is probably a lot to learn from both sides (closed/open source model of business).

Each individual/institution has particular needs and some of them may take advantage of the open/closed source model. This is a decision that cannot be by someone else than the individual/institution.

I don&#039;t have any problem in using closed-source as long as a specification exists and hopefully also an open-source implementation.</description>
