I have just viewed the photographs of Paraul Rece, it is indeed beautiful, we are hoping to visit both Romania and Bulgaria in 2009, both Paraul Rece and Brasov will be on our agenda.

Hi Anne, Brasov is in the center of the country. From Brasov to Ruse (Bulgarian border)are around 230 km.

Another beautiful place I'm trying right now to promote, is Paraul Rece (Cold River in English), close to Brasov. I'm working to put online a multilingual website, that aria is beautiful. I have just watched the episode of Ghost Hunters International pertaining to Citadel Rasnov, not too sure if it is hauntd but it certainly is hauntingly lovely, thank you for posting such beautiful photos of Romania, it is no wonder that it is becoming such a popular holiday destination. I was always under the impression that Transylvania was part of Bulgaria, is Rasnov / Brasov close to the Bulgarian border ?

Groups like Ghost Hunters do not necessarly bend the public will but they can prick it’s imagination.

What about my ancestors? Where did they come from? Forget the stoies of free-floating entities, I want to find who is in my past and can’t speak about who I am.

I’ve just recently learned of Citadel Rasnov by watching an episode of the American TV show, ‘Ghost Hunters Internation’ on the SCI-FI network. I was so curious about it I’ve looking online for more information. There’s a video stream of the show on the network’s site http://www.scifi.com/ The episode is ‘Fortress of Fear’. What can I say Kelly… Some people believe that is something beyond our cognitive senses; I never met in person any ghost in all my childhood when I played there, but we imagined a lot of things like that ;)
The place has its magic for sure. Just stay to catch the dusk or dawn there.

I plan to build a dedicated website about that region, let’s hope the time will permit.

I watched a program about ghosthunters last evening just because they were at the Citadel Rasnov in Romania. I find the country of Romania and others in central Europe fascinating-love the history,architecture,etc.However I think the subject of ghosts is total bunk.I’m curious to know your opinion on the matter? Compliments to you-great pics of a beautiful country!!!! Thanks so much for posting them.
